Prasadini (Kristin Mayer), born on February 25, 1983, in Frankfurt am Main, traveled to India in 2006 while studying visual communication at the Offenbach University of Art and Design, a life-changing experience. There, she met her spiritual teacher, Amma, and began studying yoga, meditation, and Vedanta.
The devotion and the sparkle in the eyes of the people in this country touched her so deeply that she has since spent several months there every year to devote herself to spiritual practice and to humanitarian projects.
After receiving her diploma as a designer in 2008, she began a two-year training as a yoga teacher and a one-year training in Ayurveda.
From 2009 to 2011 she was part of the team leading the Yoga Vidya Center in Frankfurt am Main.
Since 2013, she has spent the summer months on Schweibenalp as a Pujarini (priestess) in the Temple of Unity, living there in a community of 25 people with a permaculture garden and seminar facility.
She spends the winter months in India or Thailand, where she leads Vedic ceremonies at Kamalaya, a holistic wellness resort. In India, she has organized four pilgrimages to sacred sites in the Himalayas, or she is dedicated to her spiritual practice and deepening her studies. She has been ordained a priest by various teachers, in the Haidakhan Babaji tradition, Chinmaya Mission, and Shri Vidya. Since 2020, she has been intensively studying the recitation of the Vedic mantras in the Mysore Sampradaya lineage, Krishna Yayurveda. She is being trained as a teacher by Shantala Sriramaia (Veda Studies) to pass on these teachings.
